After a huge 13hrs sleep…Kellie and I were keen to find ourselves a nice cafe and have a nice coffee/latte whilst taking in the views. We left our room at 6:15am and made it to the waters edge within just a 5min walk…only to find that no cafes were open. After speaking with a StarBucks employee waiting for his boss to arrive…we were told that cafes wouldn’t be open until at least 9am.
With that Kellie and I went for a walk along the waters edge enjoying the quietness and peacefulness of being only a handful of people up that early. We took many photos and I pointed out several landmarks to Kellie as I remembered them from previous visits to the area.
We found a nice spot at Freddo’s Cafe and as soon as 9am arrived we were served by a friendly waitress taking our order for 2 x Caramel Lattes and a bottle of water. Kellie said that despite the latte not being very hot it was the best caramel latte she has ever had. Not a bad start for her first day out on our European holiday!
After our lattes we found another restaurant and decided to have brunch at Belle Amie where we had bacon and eggs…with our caramel lattes 🙂
So that we had constant internet available to us we went and purchased 2 x data packs from local telco Cosmote. It was then back to our room to see if our internet works and to relax and search for an Acropolis tour that best suits us…
